What a gorgeous day for a bike ride 🙂

Unfortunately I was on call, but fortunately I have a route that takes me no more than 10 miles from home 🙂

I cycled over to meet Simon and we headed to Merkins Cafe, I obviously had my eyes open today as I spotted Plaques and statues that I have never seen before…

The Jubilee plaque is in the middle of nowhere and I must have cycle past it dozens of times…

The Orchids are starting to come out on the Protected verge after Callows Hill.

As there was a 10K run on in Hullavington we decided to go through Malmesbury where I spied a statue of a Monk (Again I must have cycle past it dozens of times and never seen it before)

We met up with Gary at Merkins (After a spot of coffee and nosh), we cycled via Hilperton and Ashton Common, it was good to see the vintage fuel pumps haven’t completely reverted to oxide.

Gary headed home at Potterne and Simon and I carried on to Honeystreet and Avebury.

Simon’s back was giving him gyp so we headed straight back to Calne (I thought I may as well take a photo of Silbury Hill)

I headed back home from Calne using the same route I used out, resulting in a 99 mile ride….I just cant bring myself to do pointless miles to round things up!

Strava session here….
